In Karadapté, we aim to help children find their 'chi' (vital energy).
Join us in a 6-week parent and child program that introduces beginner karate skills with an adapted approach for children with physical, developmental, or behavioral limitations. We offer children the opportunity to learn self-defense and discipline, while improving gross motor skills, and building confidence, attention, and concentration through martial arts.

Who We Are
Hello! Our names are Megan Vincelli and Kathryn Yao, and we are occupational therapists, trained in martial arts and dedicated to creating inclusive opportunities for children with diverse physical, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Kathryn is a pediatric occupational therapist specializing in autism, intellectual disabilities, and physical challenges. She combines her expertise with a martial arts background, holding a brown belt in Shotokan Karate and currently training in Muay Thai.
Megan is a skilled occupational therapist with extensive experience supporting children of all abilities. A black belt in Kyokushin Karate, she integrates her clinical knowledge, creativity, and martial arts expertise to create an inclusive, empowering experience.

We know how important it is to find activities that truly meet the needs of neurodivergent individuals. That’s why we’re here to help every step of the way! Here are the details to our next Karadapté Spring 2025 Session.Program Duration: 6 weeks
Location: John Abbott College Dojo
Class Schedule: Sunday mornings from March 9th to April 13th 2025.
Class Size: 4-6 parent and child pairs
Age range: Children aged 4-10
